Phoebe! :D

Phoebe sounded like a great person! From the way that she said things to Holden, she sounds like a person that cares! She was really worried about Holden when she found out that he had gotten kicked out of another school. The only thing she started saying to him when she found was, Dad is going to KILL you! I don't blame her for being worried though because he had been kicked out or he failed out of so many different schools. I have an older brother and even when he does something wrong or anything, I'm still really worried about what is going to happen to him. I can tell she really loves Holden a lot!

Sally Hayes & Holden Caulfield :D

Sally Hayes and Holden Caulfield have an interesting interaction with one another. Holden's feelings toward her somewhat change throughout the chapter but once he got to the end, I was really surprised the way that he acted towards her. One minute their talking, the next hes yelling at her saying that he wants to get married, have children and move in with her. He isn't acting like a gentleman and the way she treats him should be exactly like how he should! >:O

Important && Insighttful passage :D

The main passage I saw when reading these 2 chapters was the part when he was hanging out with Sally Hayes. He was really arrogant towards her and the way he treated her at the end of chapter 17 was horrible. "You give me a royal pain in the ass, if you want to know the truth." I really didn't like the way he was treating Sally at all in this chapter.

Holden has not been my favorite character so far in this book. He honestly has NO common sense what so ever, he doesn't think before he speaks and he has no respect for women at all! I don't know if anyone agrees with me on that one but that is just where i'm going with this. If i were to put myself in Sally's position, I would just want to smack him right there, right then. And I would most definitely do the same thing that she did. She didn't accept his apology!

The awesome Nuns! :D

Holden seems like hes becoming more of an adult than I thought! After reading about him and the nuns, he was a lot more polite than i thought! I didn't really like Holden at first because all he seemed like he liked to do was criticize people ALL the time! And it really just bugged me. He wasn't too shy to them yet I still don't think he was as comfortable talking to them because he didn't know them at all. I think he was pretty happy with himself with the way he acted toward them. Especially after the one nun dropped her basket and he picked it up for her, I didn't think he had it in him! Haha (: But after reading chapters 14 and 15, hes becoming more grown up. I've never really liked Holden but he seems like a pretty cool person. I have actually connected to him a couple times though. Feeling his pain through the death of his brother and everything, that was the big connection I had with him. That is all!! Comment if you would like! :D

Randommm!! : )

Many teens are always thinking of what they want to do when they grow up, where they're going to be when they grow up, if they're going to have a family or not, but being a teen is one of the hardest things in life. Holden is definitely still a child and is not even close to being an adult yet. He, plus the rest of us teens, have a lot to still think about what is going to happen in the future. Many of us think we already know what were going to do. Things such as, become a doctor, be on a proffesional sports team, etc, is very hard to live up to. You can all definetely tell that Holden still has more to learn about his life, just like us!

Chapterss 9-11 :D

I can definitely tell now that Holden really truly cares for Jane. He explained her as being pretty, fun, cute but not always the happiest person in the world. He didn't have to tell us what exactly they did, haha, but i guess that's what makes the book good and more interesting??? =P

Chapterrs 4-7 !! :D

I really feel empathy towards Holden. I have lost someone so special to me in my life and it really sucks to know someone you love so much is gone. When he was writing the composition about all he has left of his brother, I thought of what I have left of my dad, his work hat. I keep it hung on the backboard of my bed and everytime I look at it, it reminds me of the picture I have of me when i was just a baby and I had worn it, it was so big on me. Haha. But I can really relate to Holden. The way that Stradlater treats him though, really seems to bug me. I have been able to relate to what Holden is going through. Being pushed around and told what to do by other people, it just always bugged me when I went through the same thing.
